This article is for Admin users only.
The Team SIS ID allows Teams to flow automatically into the SIS if your school has implemented a write-back solution; this will help eliminate double handling. With Teams stored in the SIS, they are readily available for student reports.
You can utilise Team SIS IDs in the Teams detail page, Team spreadsheets and Team Exports.
Teams and Groups are interchangeable terms in Clipboard.
Benefits of Team SIS IDs in Clipboard
Saves time and prevents double-handling - Team SIS IDs enable Teams (alternatively named, Groups) to be written back to a SIS.
Student report benefits - Team lists can be stored in the SIS, so they are available for student reports.

Option 3: Via the Create Teams without Students Spreadsheet

Click on the Manage Teams icon on the top right.
Select Create Teams without Students
Fill out the spreadsheet as usual and add SIS ID in the Team SIS ID column
After Team SIS IDs are added, you can now use Team Exports to download a CSV file to upload into your SIS, or alternatively, you can refer to our API documentation to extract this data as needed.
How to add multiple Team SIS IDs at once
To bulk upload/edit Team SIS IDs, you can do this by downloading the existing Teams Template and adding in the Team SIS IDs, then reuploading the existing Teams Template.
The steps for bulk updating existing teams are in this article: Bulk Update Existing Teams. You will add your Team SIS IDs to the blue columns for the row 'Team SIS ID (optional)'.
FAQ
Can I have two Teams with the same Team SIS ID?
It's typically expected that different Teams should have distinct SIS IDs to differentiate them. If two Teams had the same ID, then they would be the same Team.
What does the SIS ID do?
The Team SIS ID can assist in the following ways: it allows Teams to flow automatically into the SIS to eliminate double-handling. With Teams stored in the SIS, they are available for student reports.
Team SIS IDs allow your school to use Clipboard to manage your Teams and then upload or write them back to the SIS. You can utilise Team SIS IDs in the Teams detail page, Team spreadsheets and Team Exports to help you more easily keep records up to date in the SIS if required.
How do I assign a class code?
Assigning a class code is a straightforward process that allows you to match a specific Team SIS ID with a class code in your SIS. Therefore you can associate a Session with a particular student in a Team. To illustrate this, let's consider the scenario where you want a student's school report to reflect that they participated in singing lessons throughout the entire semester. To accomplish this, add the class code as the Team SIS ID. You can then view the Team SIS IDs through Team Exports.
