Rename 'Teams' to 'Groups' in your Clipboard App

When school departments prefer to call the traditionally known Teams, as Groups instead.

Admin, Manager and Staff Users can rename Teams to Groups

You can now update Clipboard to use the term "Groups" instead of "Teams" throughout your App Environment!

What is it?

Not every department in a school thinks in "Teams" — Music and Performing Arts departments, for example, typically organise students into Groups, Ensembles, or Classes instead. This update lets you rename "Teams" to "Groups", so that Clipboard's language matches how your department already refers to them.

How can I set this up?

To switch this on or off:

  1. Click on your initials at the top right-hand corner of the screen

2. Open Profile. This will take you to your Staff profile > Basic Details page.

3. Scroll down past Other Details to Preferences:

4. Tick Rename Teams to Groups and click Save.

If your Environment has "Music & Performing Arts" listed under Area(s) of Work, it is automatically turned on for you — no setup needed!

Good To Know

This is your own account's view you are changing; your staff profile changes will not affect the view for other Clipboard App Users.

This updates the term "Teams" to "Groups" in most areas of Clipboard, but not necessarily every single one. If you spot an area where "Teams" is still showing after switching this on, this is intended behaviour.
