Schools often face a scenario where students train in one Team, but play weekend games in another. This may happen when a school has multiple campuses and students from the same team train at different times and locations. Alternatively, we see a lot of schools where the Game Teams change every weekend, but the training sessions remain the same. This can easily be managed on Clipboard to make the process of scheduling, or moving students around in game teams very quick and easy!
The best way to do this is to create training teams or training squads. This is just like creating a regular Team, keeping in mind that you can add those training teams to specific sessions in the Schedule.
To create a training Team:
Name and Create your Team: see the example below. I have created two Y7 training squads (7A and 7B), these students will train together throughout the week. Then underneath those training squads are the game Teams (Boomers and Jumpers). These are the Teams who compete on the weekends.
2. Place all the students in the correct team, for example, a training squad 7A.
3. Schedule the Session: Create Sessions in the Schedule and include the Teams (in this example training team 7A) on the applicable Sessions as well as the Teams (for the games) on the weekend Fixtures.
4. Use Team Power View to add or move students into their game Teams or between Teams!
