What is the Time Period Filter?
In a nutshell, the Time Period Filter is your go-to tool for creating and naming date ranges. These can represent anything from academic terms to custom periods tailored to your needs. The primary aim is to help you save time and effortlessly manage data within specific contexts.
Where Can You Find It?
The Time Period Filter is conveniently available on the Fixtures page, Attendance Summary, Incidents, and the Payments page, making it accessible where you need it the most.
Why Did We Introduce This Feature?
The idea for the Time Period Filter emerged to assist with music-related activities and the revamp of the Attendance Summary. To ensure accurate attendance data, we needed a way to set specific date ranges, such as terms. This led to the creation of the Time Period Filter.
How Does It Work?
Creating and managing Time Periods is a breeze. Follow these simple steps:
Select the Time Period Filter.
Choose "Create New."
Title your Time Period (e.g., 'Term 1', 'Semester 2', or 'All Year').
Select the date range.
Choose the type of time period. Read more about these below. (Admins only)
Select the relevant departments. (Admins only)
Save your Time Period.
You can create as many Time Periods as you need, whether they're for academic terms, tests, or private date ranges for your personal use.

Types of Time Periods:
Keep Private Time Period: This time period is visible only to you.
Share with All Departments: Share with all current and new departments.
Share with Specific Departments: Select the departments you want to share this time period with.
For instance, you might create a Time Period named "Term 1," share it specifically with the "Music" department and use it for your attendance summary during music sessions.

Who can create shared time periods?
Only Admins have the ability to create shared Time Periods. Managers and Staff can create and edit their own private Time Periods, and view shared Time Periods created by Admins.
Who can edit or delete a time period?
Admins have the authority to edit and delete all Time Periods, providing full control over the data management process. To achieve this, select the Time Period and make the necessary changes.
