Overview
Within Resources, Admins and Managers can log maintenance and repairs for individual Resources. Maintenance tracking is a handy feature to record details of what Resources are currently out for repairs, who the repairer is, the date, and cost, and if a student or staff is liable.
Creating a Maintenance Event
Maintenance events can be logged directly on the Resource details page.
Go to Resources and find the Resource you want to log maintenance for.
Click on the Resource to open the details page.
In the Maintenance and Repairs Log card, click New Maintenance.
Enter the details describing the repair, who the repairer is, date and time out, if there’s a cost, and if a student or staff is liable. You can also enter in any further notes.
Click Save.
Marking a Maintenance Event as Returned:
After a Resource has been repaired, you can mark it as returned. This will close the maintenance event with the status ‘Returned’.
From the Maintenance and Repairs Log card, select the line item you want to return by clicking the checkbox.
Click the More button and Mark it as Returned.
Enter the date of return.
Select if you want the item to be Available or Unavailable upon returning to the Resources list. E.g. You may wish to mark it as Unavailable if the item is beyond repair and can no longer be rented out.
Enter any notes and save.
