Push notifications are a powerful feature that enhances communication and streamline workflows within Clipboard. Clipboard users can now receive push notifications directly to their phones and/or desktops, ensuring instant and seamless information dissemination. These notifications are intended for Admins, Managers, and Staff users who are actively involved in Clipboard operations. The introduction of push notifications aims to facilitate better collaboration and coordination among staff members, parents and students by informing them about important events and updates.

Push notifications ensure that staff members, parents and students stay up-to-date with fixture/round updates, deletions, and many more critical actions, fostering efficient communication. These push notifications empower users to send instant changes to fellow users instantaneously. Therefore, all Clipboard users in your school receive timely information, enhancing productivity and facilitating smoother operations.

Any Clipboard who is a Staff, Manager, or Admin user with push notifications enabled. As well as students and parents who have access to the Clipboard Portal with push notifications enabled. Please refer to the information below titled "Concerned your Users aren't receiving push notifications?" to determine whether your users have unsubscribed from notifications or have yet to set them up.

Any user with the necessary permissions to create or make changes can send push notifications. Once a change is made, users will be prompted to select the option to notify staff, students, and guardians. Enabling this option will send a push notification to the designated recipients, ensuring they receive timely updates.

First, install the app on your home screen. Some devices only allow notifications when installed on the home screen. Please see our articles on how to add this to your Apple and Android devices.

Then follow the prompts provided by your 'Don't miss a thing' pop-up to enable notifications. See the example of the pop-up in the image below.

Your browser will give you permission to Clipboard to show notifications. Click 'allow' or 'confirm' for these notifications.

You will now start receiving notifications on your phone for events in Clipboard! It's that easy!

To enable Desktop Push Notifications, follow the prompts after logging in, provided by your 'Don't miss a thing' pop-up to enable notifications. See the example of the pop-up in the image below:
