Notification Logs

Concerned that your users aren't receiving notifications? Check out how you can troubleshoot with our notification logs.

How can I see if I am receiving notifications?

First, check your notification preferences and check that you have not unsubscribed from the notification. If your preferences indicate you should be receiving a certain notification and you don't think you are, you can check out whether you're successfully receiving notifications on your profile:

  1. Click on your Initials (top right-hand corner)

  2. Select Profile

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and you'll see your personal notification logs:

How can I see if other users are receiving notifications?

You can click on an individual user's profile from the staff list and check their notifications logs as above. You can view the notification logs here if you are a Manager or Admin user.

These logs keep a record of all outgoing notifications from Clipboard. Below is an example of logs sent to two Staff users:

If you click on the arrows on the left-hand side of the screen next to the user names, this will show more detail about when the notifications were sent:

How can I see if students are receiving notifications?

Manager and Admin users can view notification logs as above or check the notification logs on an individual student profile from the student list.

As seen in the image below, this student successfully received a notification via Digistorm that they had been added to a new Session:

What do I do if a notification fails?

If a notification fails, Clipboard will automatically try again in 10 minutes; see the image below:

If this fails a second time, please get in touch with [email protected].

Digistorm: What does "SIS ID/Secondary SIS ID/Username/Email not found" mean?

The student or parent has not received the notification because they have not logged into the app before. Digistorm stores the SIS ID against a user's device in their push notification system when they log in for the first time. So if a user has never logged in, they won't receive the push notification.
