Locations in Clipboard

Learn how to create and manage any locations required for the Schedule

Only Admin users can manage and edit locations in Clipboard. If you are a Manager or Staff user, feel free to share this article with your Clipboard Admin.

All Sessions in Clipboard require a Location. Clipboard allows you to input a list of all locations that your school may frequent for external events, games or competitions. It also allows you to manage any locations that are created within the Schedule. All Locations are shared throughout all Departments in Clipboard.

Top Tip: Assign an 'owner' for an external school Location to differentiate between your school's locations and your opponents!

There are two processes that create Locations:

  1. When creating Sessions or Fixtures.

  2. By adding a location in Settings.

Option 1 - Creating Locations when Scheduling Sessions or Fixtures

Note: All users can create locations when creating Sessions or Fixtures.

When creating Sessions or Fixtures you can begin typing a location and a dropdown menu appears as seen in the image below:

You have the option to select an existing location, create a new location, or create a new location with an address.

Option 2 - Adding Locations in Settings

Note: This process is only available to Admin users.

To create a Location:

  1. Click Create (top right). This will open a spreadsheet where you can enter or copy and paste multiple Locations.

  2. Include a name or title of the Location and an address. It is optional to include an owner school but helps with categorising your Locations. Eg: which Main Oval Location is yours and which is an opponent school? Note: Only an owner school option can be chosen from the list in Clipboard, which is only currently independent schools, otherwise the field must be left blank.

  3. Click Create when you are finished entering the name and address of the Location.

Top Tip: This is particularly helpful if you need to upload Locations in bulk when you're starting out with Clipboard!
