This process requires Admin access.
Tags are a handy feature that can be used to track key information for students and resources. To learn more about the uses for Tags, check out this article. To attach Tags to students and How to attach Tags to Resources, the Tags first need to be created in Settings.
Note: Creating new Tags and updating existing Tags cannot be done simultaneously. Separate uploads for both actions are needed.
To create a Tag:
Go to Settings
Select Tags
Click Actions (top right) and select Quick Create Tags from the dropdown menu.
Provide a Label, select the type, and a Category (recommended) for your Tag. Optionally add a Subcategory, Value and Code. Then Save.
To create multiple Tags at once:
Follow above Steps 1 and 2
After clicking Actions (top right), choose Upload Spreadsheet of Tags from the dropdown menu
Create New Tags will be automatically selected. Click Next
Select the type of tag you wish to upload: Student or Resource Tags
Choose to either download the Template for uploading Tags OR, after clicking Next, use an existing Tag spreadsheet
Drop or choose a file to upload, then click Next
Review your Tags and then Save
How to edit Tags
To edit a single tag:
Go to Settings
Select Tags
Select the specific tag
Under Basic Details, click on the Edit button on the right
To update multiple Tags at once:
Follow steps 1 and 2 above.
After clicking Actions (top right), choose Bulk Edit from the dropdown menu
Update Existing Tags will be automatically selected. Click Next
Select the type of tag: Student or Resource Tags
Download the Current Tags Template and edit the document. Then after clicking Next re-upload the Spreadsheet.
Review your Tags and then Save
Note: When updating Tags, it is necessary to keep the ID's so the system can match the updates with the existing Tags.
Once you've created the Tags you'd like to use, you can now attach them to students or attach Tags to Resources to begin tracking the information you'd like.
