Activities and Teams
Keep your Activities broad, e.g. Netball, and don't create separate Activities for each Association Sport, e.g. Association A Netball.
Creating duplicate Activities for each Association Sport can make scheduling and managing Teams and Activities confusing and time-consuming. I'll outline how below:
There is more than one possible Activity to schedule Netball, which creates room for error when scheduling.
If Teams across more than one of the Netball Activities train together, they will need to be scheduled separately, thus increasing the workload.
The Activity filter is increased when searching for Teams or Sessions in the Schedule; there are multiple possible places to look for Teams and Sessions.
It becomes very easy to create Teams in the incorrect Activity as there are multiple options.
The Manager of Netball will not be able to see all Teams in one place.
You can't create Netball Teams in bulk; they will need to be created per Activity. This is increasing the workload significantly as they will be required to be created across multiple Activities.
Instead, use Team Categories to separate the different Association Teams (see the image below).
Activity Selection
When it comes to Activity Selection, there are a few ways to manage Activity choices from multiple Associations.
Option 1: Use separate Selection Groups for Associations
For this first option, you would create separate Selection Groups for each Association. Then add the Activity options available for that Association: e.g. Netball, Basketball, Cricket etc.
This way, students and/or parents can choose their Activity, e.g. Netball, within the Association. Then when it comes to placing students into Teams, through Power View, selections can be filtered by Selection Group.

Option 2: Use Options within an Activity for Associations
With this second option, you would provide Options within an Activity for each Association for students and/or parents to choose from. See the image below for an example.
Students could then be placed into Teams, through Power View, by filtering selections based on the Option chosen.
