This is your home for tracking newly released features in Clipboard Compete. Each entry below covers a recent improvement, what it does, and how it helps your day-to-day fixture and competition management. This is a working document that we'll keep updating as new features go live, with the most recent updates at the top.

You can now zoom out on the Fixtures table to see more columns at once, including the Friendly Handshake and Round Robin symbols that were previously hidden off-screen. This makes it easier to get a full picture of your competition at a glance, without needing to scroll horizontally to check match types.

QR Codes can now be generated and printed directly from Compete, giving the public, coaches and players an easy way to find venue and match information on the go. From the Fixtures page, apply your filters first to create QR Codes for the specific matches or venues you need. QR Codes are also available from the Ladders page, so competitors can quickly scan their way to current standings.

Associations can now export ladders directly from Compete, making it easier to share standings with schools, publish results, or keep records outside the platform. Rather than manually compiling standings, admins and managers can generate a ready-to-share export in just a few clicks in the Ladders Tab, saving time during and post busy competition periods.

When exporting fixtures from your Fixtures list, you can now include result notes in the spreadsheet. Previously, if you'd recorded notes against a fixture's result, you had to open each fixture individually to see them — now they're included as a column in your export, so you can review notes across your whole season in one go. Note that this only picks up notes your association has recorded; notes added by schools within their own system won't appear in this export.

Associations can now nominate teams into grades on behalf of their schools, directly from the Seasons tab. If a school hasn't nominated their teams in time, you no longer need to chase them down before you can get fixtures underway — simply select the school, choose the team, and assign them to the correct grade yourself. This also makes it easy to fix a school's mistake, such as a team nominated into the wrong division; you can remove the incorrect nomination and re-nominate them into the right one in just a couple of clicks.

Association admins can now click on a single Fixture to open a quick-edit modal, rather than needing to find and update it in the fixtures spreadsheet. The modal shows all the editable details for that Fixture in one focused view, following the same layout admins already know from the Session edit modal, and includes a one-click action to swap the Home and Away teams. Changes are only applied once you save from the modal — clicking away or closing it without saving won't update the Fixture. As before, Fixtures with confirmed results can't be edited directly — you'll need to mark the result as unconfirmed from the list first.

Association admins can now export team nominations directly from the Nominations page. A new Export button, located at the top right of the page, downloads a spreadsheet containing all nominations for the current Competition view, including school name, team name, Activity, grade, and category. If filters are applied to the Nominations page, the export respects them, so you only download the data you are currently viewing. The downloaded file name includes the Competition name and date, making it easy to identify later.

Association admins can now select multiple grades at once when exporting Fixtures, rather than being limited to choosing "All" or a single grade. This makes it easy to generate a single export containing exactly the grades you need, without having to run the export multiple times and stitch the results together. The "All" option is still there as a quick shortcut when you want everything.

Association admins can now expand multiple Location accordions at once in the Compete settings Locations list. Previously, opening one accordion would automatically close any other that was already expanded, making it awkward to compare or edit sub-locations across different parent Locations. Now each accordion stays open independently, so admins can view and work across multiple Locations without losing their place.

The Round filter on the Fixtures view now supports multi-select, so you can review or export a whole span of Rounds together — handy for things like checking the block of Fixtures leading into finals. It works alongside your other active filters like Grade and Sport, and your selection stays in place for the rest of your session.

Schools can now change which side is hosting a Fixture straight from the Fixtures Inbox, using the existing Home Game control — no more emailing the Association to arrange a swap. The opposing school sees the change come through as a "changed" Fixture and needs to approve it before hosting updates for both sides, so it's always clear when a swap is still pending agreement. If a result has already been recorded, it's automatically flipped to match the new hosting so scores and the ladder stay accurate.

This is switched on per Association via a new Home & Away permission under Compete > Setup > School Permissions, and is off by default, so Associations that want their schools to have this ability will need to turn it on first.

Applying a date or date range to the Fixtures view is useful for narrowing down what you're looking at, but until now there was no quick way to remove it again — Admins had to log out and back in just to see all Fixtures. You can now clear the date filter directly from the filter itself, instantly returning to the default view with all Fixtures visible. Your other active filters, like Season, Competition, and Grade, stay exactly as you left them.

Associations can now record a Washout as its own result type when entering scores, separate from a Cancellation. Since washout scoring can vary between Associations and Sports, this gives you the flexibility to reflect a washed-out game accurately on the ladder without it being treated the same as a standard cancellation. Please reach out to your Compete Coordinator if you want to update your Ladders to reflect this new result option.

We've rearranged the columns in the Fixture Creator so that Date, Home School, Away School, and Location now sit next to each other. Previously, related information was spread across the table, meaning Admins and Managers had to scroll back and forth to compare details. With these columns grouped together, reviewing and building Fixtures should feel a lot quicker.
